Indian English media reporter Bappaditya Paul, as part of his professional career, came to know about the most historical person behind Naxal Movement, i.e., Kanu Sanyal. Naxalite Movement in India is one of the most powerful and widespread political movement for close to fifty years now. This movement had its origin in the Siliguri region of the North Bengal zone of West Bengal state. After knowing about Kanu Sanyal, Bappaditya Paul put forwarded immense and intense efforts to bring light to his life in a biographical mode. In this direction, Bappaditya Paul had spent three continues years with Kanu Sanyal by recording about his life history, his attraction towards Naxalite movement, his role in this entire movement, his perceptions of this movement, etc.
In addition to the primary data collected from Kanu Sanyal, Bappaditya Paul also made efforts to gather secondary source material and brought cohesiveness to this entire authorised biography and published the same on behalf of the Sage Publications India Private Limited in the year 2014. Kanu Sanyal himself authorised almost the entire part of this biography, except concluding section. Kanu Sanyal, unfortunately, passed away without authorising the concluding part of this biography.
This Review, composed by me, is published by the Galaxy: International Multidisciplinary Research Journal, as part its September 2017 – Vol. 6, Issue – 5. Please have a look at the below link for a .pdf formatted version of this Review.
First Naxal An Authorised Biograpby of Kanu Sanyal
‘Annihilation of Caste’, is one of the most popular treatise in India dealing with the ways and forms of persistence of Caste and modes of ‘Annihilating’ it, penned by Dr B R Ambedkar. Though Ambedkar authored and published many a works related to caste, etc; among all his writings, the ‘Annihilation of Caste’ has a unique position among his admirers and followers , primarily. As a result, his admirers and followers published and republished this ‘Annihilation of Caste’ document in various forms and modes over the years, across India in various vernaculars modes too.
The present review deals with the Navayana Publishing House, New Delhi published work in 2014. Navayana Publishing House in 2014 brought out an ‘Annotated Critical Edition on the Annihilation of Caste’. In this edition, the Editor S Anand provided critical Annotations to the original text of Ambedkar’s ‘Annihilation of Caste’. And, a lengthy Introduction was also provided by Arundhati Roy, one of the well known Indian English writers. This Introduction was entitled as ‘The Doctor and the Saint’.
I had composed a Review of this Book in the The Criterion: An International Journal in English‘, as part of this Journals April, 2017 issue. ‘The Criterion’ is an University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized journal. This Review can be found on the following source.

The YSRCP, principle Opposition Party, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly released a full-fledged book against the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led government by Nara Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister. This book is titled as ‘Chandrababu Emperor of Corruption.’ Please see the book in pdf format;
Emperor of Corruption
As principal opposition party YSRCP is leading the present movement, at a time when YSRCP MLA’s are jumping to TDP. The YSRCP leadership is widely circulating this book at national level by meeting various national and state level leaders in teams.
But, I’m highly sceptical how YSRCP allegation and activism at Delhi/National level against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu would be useful to gain political mileage. YSRCP leadership is doing activism at national level by meeting various national and regional party leaders and explaining the malpractices of the TDP government under the Chief Minister-ship of Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
As per some journalists, academics, and lay persons Indian people are not bothering about corruption allegations and are not paying much attention. This has become a kind of political culture. If this is so the case, I don’t think the present efforts of YSRCP at national level will have impact. Anyhow, we have observe how YSRCP would be able to create any relative impact in future, in relation to this incident and activism.
